It's the moving story of Charity Hope Valentine, a wonderfully complex character, who is desperate to be loved, but is not quite that lucky! She is a dreamer and her dreams don't always come true, but she finds that hard to admit to her nearest and dearest. Charity is a dance hostess in a ballroom and her adventures involve her in some truly hilarious moments and some really poignant scenes.
