Come and join us

We rehearse each Thursday for approximately 2.5 hours each week – see where we rehearse for further details, map, times etc.

Why not drop Phil Snowe an email on phils@bmtcweb.co.uk with some brief details about yourself, previous shows, age, etc and don’t forget a contact number so we can have a chat - we would love to hear from you.

See photo’s of our performances.

For performing members a brief audition will be required so we may “see what you are capable of”. It is nothing to worry about, it is just our way to assess were you would best fit in the society. After all, if you join you will be performing to audiences in theatres such as The Crescent.

For example we place members in singing voices, Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Baritone and Bass. If you don’t know were you fit into the above – don’t worry we will help you!

Can you dance? Presently we have dancers who both sing and dance and have joined us from a number of dance schools and have featured in many of our major productions.

We also look for non-acting members. Non-acting members work with us at our Musical Express productions in the Autumn and our main production in the Spring at the Crescent Theatre, Sheepcote Street, Birmingham.

Non-acting member’s involvement is not every week, it is mainly required during the lead up to a show and of course during it. We are looking for regular members for:
- Front of house
- Welcoming our audience as they arrive
- Selling programmes, raffle tickets, etc
- For front or house staff we require people who are able to “meet and greet” our audience as they arrive, as well as promoting/selling the programmes for that evenings production

Either way we can assure you of a warm welcome and a great atmosphere during and after the shows. Many have said there is nothing like the buzz of a show week!

During the week of the show, and after the performances, we arrange social nights out for the cast and crew. All are welcome.

For further information please contact Phil Snowe by email on phils@bmtcweb.co.uk

Back stage
Moving scenery, cloths, stage props
We require back stage staff who can work with the stage manager in moving parts of the sets during scene changes, or carrying on and off large props.

Publicity
For example help with distribution of flyers, posters, promotional material within the local community.

The cast know and appreciate the hard work these people give. The audience may or may not know how important their roles are as they are rarely seen!
They are as important as the cast on stage in making a success of our productions, so why not join us?

Would you like to join us each Thursday for approximately 2.5 hours each week?
So if you are interested in joining us on stage, or behind the scenes, don't just sit there and think 'I'd love to get involved' – drop an email to:
